While visiting my wife’s parents who have lived in Florida for a number of years, my wife and I decided to look for a new home. After looking at several homes for sale, my wife and I found the home we wanted. When I found a house I wanted to purchase, I was new to the area and just picked a mortgage company out of a hat. Fortunately, this was Foundation Mortgage and my experience working with my Mortgage Banker was excellent. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient, as was his office staff. Although I had the financial resources to pay for the house, my financial situation was unusual, and he was up to the challenge of working out a loan for me with a good interest rate. From start to finish, the process went smoothly and without any surprises. Any potential hitches were dealt with quickly and effectively; his manner was always pleasant and he made himself very available. No long waits for him to call back. I was having a conversation with a friend of mine, explaining that I was disgusted with what my bank had to offer in obtaining a mortgage on a home my wife and I were trying to purchase. My friend said “Well you have to talk to someone I know, this is all he does, David is a mortgage broker and you are going to like this guy”. I purchased my last home using his services and would not use anyone else for obtaining a mortgage. Upon meeting with Mr. Shefsky, my wife and I were immediately impressed. I have known David for over twenty years. Over the years, I have sent David numerous customers who have reported back to me that they have been very satisfied with David and his office staff. About two years ago my wife and I decided to re-finance our mortgage at a lower rate. The paperwork was lengthy and complicated but David and his staff walked us through all of the required documents, which took us to goals we had been looking for. We now had a locked in rate that was considerably less then what we were paying previously. An added bonus was that David and Foundation placed us with a bank that we could talk to instead of one of the giant banks with no customer service. When we have a statement question it only takes a few minutes to get an answer, whereas in the past, when calling the giant bank we had a difficult time getting in contact with a representative.

We are very pleased with David, his staff and Foundations performance. They helped us with details that we had no working knowledge of and guided us through the ins and out of today’s mortgage world. I used to hold a mortgage brokers license, which I gave up just a few years ago and I was surprised to see how much the mortgage industry has changed. I thought that I would know what I was doing, but the changes were overwhelming. My wife and I thank David, Foundation, and the staff for helping us get this completed. We have a stable low interest rate with a bank that responds to questions in one phone call.
